This Course is your first step towards obtaining the language skills required of an international lawyer communicating in English and working with commercial documents which are drafted in English.

Using the correct grammar is as important to an international lawyer as their knowledge of English legal vocabulary. This means that anyone studying English for law must build a solid foundation in English grammar and have a strong understanding of the basics before progressing onto more complex language.

The course aims to teach you the basics of English grammar and to iron out a lot of your little mistakes, which you absolutely do not want in any legal documents.

Learning Outcomes

By doing this course, you will get lots of practice of the language points through regular activities and quizzes. You will also become more familiar with the language used for legal issues by completing tasks based on topics similar to the topics in other Legal English Courses. Basic definitions of additional legal vocabulary are provided to help you to do this. Feedback will help you understand areas where you are strong in and the areas you need to keep working on.
